What is the Queer Coffee Conference?

The coffee industry at large has made enormous strides over the last few decades in ensuring fair labor standards and ethical sourcing practices, and the Queer Coffee Conference hopes to build on that commitment to social justice by highlighting the tireless work of LGBTQ-affiliated purveyors, roasters, and workers. In centering LGBTQ+ and POC voices, it is a clear outgrowth of Fluid’s founding mission of a service-oriented community space that is “by us, for everyone” as well as a logical extension of La Cocina, a food-business incubator that has enabled immigrants, women, and low-income residents of San Francisco to become entrepreneurs.
